Meet The Staff: Leslie Weller
Meet our Pennsylvania Program Manager
based out of the Pennsylvania Office
Leslie grew up on a farm in southern Lancaster County but is currently living in Lancaster City. As a child she had 16 horses, 5 llamas, alpacas, various birds, goats, and other small animals. Needless to say she was always busy with her animals and activity completed in horse shows on the weekends. When not at a horse show Leslie spent her free time in a creek in the horse pasture. That is where her passion for the environment started. From there Leslie studied at Bloomsburg University and received her B.S. in Environmental Geoscience and Geography and Planning with a minor in Spatial Analysis. As a student she interned with the Lancaster County Conservation District on two different occasions, first with the watershed/education department then with the agriculture department. When Leslie graduated in the summer of 2016 she was hired by the District as an Agriculture Conservation Technician where she wrote conservation/Ag E&S plans, provided technical BMP assistance, and preformed annual reviews for farmers manure allocation and export records. Leslie is now Program Manager with the Alliance in the PA office. Today, Leslie’s hobbies are fishing, horseback riding, hiking, and fitness.
