Since 2019, the Alliance has brought communities in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, DC together by hosting the Wild & Scenic Film Festival in all four states on the same night. This spring, the Film Festival will provide warmth, inspire action, and raise hope during a time of growth and rebirth.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival brings together incredible selections of films that inform, inspire, and ignite solutions and possibilities to restore the earth and human communities while creating a positive future for the next generation. Festival-goers can expect to see award-winning films about nature, community activism, adventure, conservation, water, energy and climate change, wildlife, environmental justice, agriculture, Native American, and indigenous cultures.
The Film Festival is a natural extension of the Alliance’s mission to bring together communities, companies, and conservationists to improve the lands and waters of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. After pivoting to a virtual Film Festival in 2021 and 2022, we look forward to coming together again in 2023 – more details coming soon!

Information about the 2023 Film Festival ticket prices and packages is below. Visit our ticketing page to purchase. Please contact support@allianceforthebay.org if you have any questions.
Early bird – For a limited time, purchase your in-person Wild & Scenic Film Festival ticket early and at a discount! This package includes one, in-person admission to the regional WSFF event of your choice as well as 5 days of video-on-demand access to the films after the live event.
Regular – This package includes one, in-person admission to the regional WSFF event of your choice as well as 5 days of video-on-demand access to the films after the live event.
Student
Virtual – Enjoy all of the Alliance’s WSFF films, but at home! This package includes 5 days of video-on-demand access to all the films screened during our in-person WSFF events on March 9 and March 16. A link with access instructions will be emailed to you in March.
At-the-Door – Limited quantities of at-the-door tickets may be purchased in-person. At-the-door ticket availability cannot be guaranteed as venues may sell-out prior to the event date.
Upon purchasing Film Festival tickets, you will receive a confirmation email from “Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay via humanitru.com.” This email confirms the date, location, number of tickets, etc., and is all you will need to check-in to the event in-person.
Each Film Festival will have raffle tickets available to purchase and enter for your chance to win amazing prizes by local sponsors and the Wild & Scenic National Partners, such as MiiR, Peak Design, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., Earth Justice, and more. More information about raffle tickets will be available soon.
