End of Year Giving Season!
Dear Friend of the Chesapeake,
As someone who lives in the beautiful Chesapeake region, you know that Chesapeake restoration is fragile.
This year, heavy rains caused serious flooding and carried huge amounts of debris and pollutants — including manure, agricultural and urban runoff — directly into our local creeks, streams, rivers like the Potomac, Anacostia, Susquehanna, James, and into the Chesapeake Bay itself.
As an Alliance supporter, you ensure that despite challenges, our critical work continues to restore clean waters.
Your gift has a huge impact!
Chesapeake restoration continues to advance.
But it would be simply impossible without you.
Through your support, the Alliance is helping people who care about our environment to take action.
This year, the Alliance created a new program to work with homeowners planting trees on their properties. We recently hosted a community tree-planting event in the Camp Springs community of Prince George’s County, Maryland as a part of our Tree Champion Program. Our Maryland Program Coordinator demonstrated how to properly plant and care for a tree to volunteers from the community who helped us plant 45 trees at 24 different homes in just one day! This planting is one of multiple events with residential communities like Camp Springs.
Please give today! Your donation ensures the Alliance will be able to continue important work in communities throughout the Chesapeake advancing the restoration of local streams and rivers.
Thank you for your generosity and your steadfast commitment to local waterways and the Chesapeake!
