Small woodlots, such as the one you may have in your backyard, are a big deal. The vast majority of “forestland owners” own less than 10 acres. Owners of even just a few acres can make a positive difference in their environment through planning & implementing simple management practices.

This workshop is held by Virginia Cooperative Extension, in partnership with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and the Forests for the Bay program, Loudoun County Public Library, Virginia Department of Forestry, and Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.

The workshops will explore topics and techniques of planning & implementing various land management concepts and tools, including Tree ID.
