This year, CCLC’s fifth Turning a New Leaf Conference will be held at the National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, West Virginia and a networking dinner held on Friday (November 15) evening.  This one-of-a-kind conference brings together professionals from the landscaping industries, horticulture, environmental nonprofits, and government agencies to discuss and learn about current trends, issues and technologies in conservation landscaping.  The theme of this conference is based on the keynote speaker, Dr. Douglas Tallamy’s book Bringing Nature Home.  From soil to marketing techniques, this conference will focus on innovative practices to improve your business and the health of the environment and the Chesapeake Bay.

Additionally, a special dinner on Friday night will be held at a nearby hotel to celebrate CCLC’s 10th year!

Turning a New Leaf spotlights how to create landscapes that work with our natural resources.

Conference tracks will include:

  • Marketing Nature: How To Sell Conservation Landscaping
  • Innovations in Urban Restoration
  • Flora & Fauna: Applying Ecology to Design
  • Soil Science Simplified
