The Alliance hosted students and faculty from five of Virginia’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) to build connections across the James River watershed.
Last month, the Alliance hosted students and faculty members from universities across MD and DC at the 3rd Annual HBCU/MSI Chesapeake Bay Summit. Students and faculty members brought expertise and passion for an array of academic backgrounds, including biology, environmental science, business, and creative studies.
The Alliance hosted the Symposium on Emerging Contaminants in the Bay, in partnership with Morgan State University. This groundbreaking event highlighted cutting-edge research, innovative solutions, and collaborative strategies for tackling issues related to emerging contaminants.
