Want to deepen your knowledge about trees? Earn your Tree Tenders certification in this upcoming training workshop, and equip yourself with the skills to care for trees in your community!
Participants will learn basic tree biology and proper tree care skills, including demonstrations on proper planting and pruning for long-term tree health. Vinnie Cotrone, Penn State Extension Urban Forestry Educator, will lead the instruction. After this training, participants will be part of the Lancaster County Tree Tenders network, a volunteer group focused on increasing urban tree canopy by planting, caring for, and teaching neighbors about trees! We are co-hosting this event with PA IPL. Funding for this training is provided in part by PA DCNR.
