The Alliance is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive environment for everyone at the Chesapeake Watershed Forum. As such, we are dedicated to supporting all attendees so that they can fully participate in all Forum activities. More about accommodations available at the Forum, both through our programming and in the physical space at the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC), can be found here.
In-person registration covers participation in up to two days of in-person sessions and field trips, access to our conference event platform, Whova, meals, and lodging, if applicable. The meal plan begins with lunch on Friday, October 18, and ends with breakfast on Sunday, October 20.
Virtual registration covers access to our conference event platform, and the opportunity to view select live-stream sessions over Zoom or watch the recordings afterward.
The Forum schedule of events and session descriptions will be made available in late July prior to the opening of registration.
Yes, the Alliance offers a limited number of scholarships for the 2024 Chesapeake Watershed Forum. Scholarships cover registration, lodging, and meals. You must register for the Forum first to be eligible for a scholarship.
Please contact Jenny McGarvey at jmcgarvey@allianceforthebay.org or 804-977-1657.
In-person registration closes Friday, September 6, 2024, 5 PM EST or when we sell out, whichever comes first.
We reserve one of the four lodges at NCTC for attendees who prefer to stay up late to network and hang out in the lounge. We do our best to assign only those individuals who sign up for the Night Owl option to the relevant lodge; however, due to limited capacity on Friday night, we make no guarantees.
Sorry, no walk-ins are permitted. The National Conservation Training Center is a federally secured facility. You must be registered in order to gain entry to campus.
Non-Forum attendees are discouraged from being onsite at NCTC. If you need to bring with you a guest such as a family member, caregiver, or significant other in order to attend, please contact Jenny McGarvey at jmcgarvey@allianceforthebay.org or 804-977-1657.
Only certified service animals are allowed on the NCTC campus. Please indicate at registration if you will be bringing your service animal with you. Security at NCTC may request documentation of certification. If it is a pet, security will not allow you through the gate and will ask you to house the pet at a local kennel.
All cancellations made at least two weeks prior to the Forum start date receive a full refund. In most cases, no refunds – full or partial – will be granted for cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the Forum start date. Forum fees can be transferred to another person up to the Forum start date.
Checks should be written out to the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and mailed to 151 West Street, Suite 101, Annapolis, MD 21401. Please include with check, the name(s) on the registration. All checks should be delivered by 5 pm EST on September 6, 2024.
We encourage you to log into our event platform and become familiar with the platform and Zoom prior to the start of the first livestreamed session at the Forum. Unfortunately, our team will be able to provide you with limited technical support during the Forum itself. If you cannot access event platform, the zoom links for the live streamed sessions are included in your registration confirmation email.
The recorded livestreamed sessions will be made available for view on the Alliance’s YouTube page by early November.
