Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps Member
email
Chloe currently serves as a Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps member for the 2025-2026 cohort. This year she will spend her term supporting the Alliance’s effort to foster partnerships with Maryland’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Serving Institutions to enhance environmental education and professional development opportunities.
Chloe is from Burke, Virginia, and recently graduated from William and Mary with a B.S. in Integrative Conservation and Environment and Sustainability this past spring. During her time at William and Mary, she had the opportunity to work as a Research Assistant for the Nutrition Epidemiology and Food Systems Lab, where she assisted and led projects related to Indigenous food sovereignty and food sustainability. Chloe also served as a Student Geospatial Assistant at William and Mary’s Institute for Integrative Conservation, where she helped develop online GIS courses in support of William and Mary’s GIS curriculum. Additionally, she assisted in William and Mary’s Hydroecology Lab as well as the university’s Parks and Ecotherapy Lab.
As a 2024 Randal Summer Fellow for the Piedmont Environmental Council, Chloe was introduced to the realm of environmental non-profits, and engaged in various projects, including habitat restoration, conservation easement monitoring, and sustainable farming practices. This experience sparked Chloe’s interest in the work done by environmental non-profits, making her very excited for the work she will be doing with the Alliance in the year ahead.
Outside of work, Chloe enjoys dancing, hiking, paddle boarding, crocheting, reading, and playing piano. She also loves to spend time with her beloved dog, Stella.
