Julia Augustyn

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Julia Augustyn joins the Forest team as a Watershed Conservation Field Technician to restore and replenish riparian environments in the Chesapeake Bay. Julia spent the prior 4 years at Wesleyan University studying Earth and Environmental Science with a focus in hydrogeology. She also earned a degree in Italian Studies and is passionate about learning languages to connect with different cultures and communities. During her undergraduate years, Julia studied different environments across the United States, as well as in Italy, Brazil, Poland, and Puerto Rico, always focusing on freshwater resources. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, trying new restaurants, and playing tag with her cat, Lolek.
