Chesapeake Conservation Corps
Rebecca is the current Chesapeake Conservation Corps Member at the Alliance’s Lancaster location. She graduated from Messiah College in May of 2020 with a B.S. in Biology and an Ecology concentration. During her college experience, she worked as the Biodiversity Coordinator in the Office of Sustainability and served as the president of the student environmentalclub. She helped to coordinate a campus tree planting, trash-clean ups, and weekly meetings. Rebecca participated in a semester-long reading/writing-intensive program in Oregon that focused on sustainability, social justice, and knowledge of the local environment.
Before her position with the Chesapeake Conservation Corps, Rebecca worked for three summers as an entomology intern at Stroud Water Research Center. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the parks in her hometown of Lancaster, trying out various forms of art, reading non-fiction, rollerblading, and playing with her kitten.
