2026 Watershed Forum Scholarships

The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay will offer a limited number of scholarships for the 2026 Chesapeake Watershed Forum. 

Scholarships for the 2026 Chesapeake Watershed Forum cover costs of registration, lodging, and meals.

The scholarship gives priority to those who:

  • Are a first-time recipient of a Chesapeake Watershed Forum scholarship.
  • Have a financial need.
  • Clearly illustrate how participation in the Forum will benefit themselves professionally.
  • Share how their unique perspective informs their approach to improving the lands and waters of the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
  • Are poster or session presenter(s).
  • Willingness to serve as a poster session judge at the Forum on Friday night and/or assist at the registration table on Friday or Saturday.

Application Instructions

  1. Complete an application to participate in the lottery to attend the Chesapeake Watershed Forum. When you apply, select “Yes, I will be applying for a scholarship. Please send me an application.” Lottery applications are due by August 24 at 5 pm EST. Scholarships applications are due August 14 at 5 pm EST. You will be consider for a scholarship only if you submit both.
  2. Wait for a follow up email with the link to the scholarship application or complete it here. There are three written prompts included in the scholarship application.
  • What experience or lessons learned do you hope to gain as a result of attending the Chesapeake Watershed Forum?
  • Please provide a statement of your organizational and/or personal financial need.
  • How does your unique perspective inform your approach to improving the lands and waters of the Chesapeake Bay watershed?

Scholarship Applications are due August 14, 2026 at 5 pm EST.  

We will notify applicants no later than Monday, August 31, 2026 regarding our decision. Applicants who do not receive a scholarship may still be included in the lottery.
