The Alliance is pleased to announce the winners of our 2017 Best of the Chesapeake photo contest! We received almost 100 entries, and each image was beautiful and portrayed a scene of the Chesapeake in all its unique glory, but there were three photos that stood our to our judges. Check out our three winners below!

The photo entries brought unique views of the Chesapeake to life! The collection of photos that were submitted will help the Alliance by giving us powerful imagery for our important message of clean and healthy lands, waters, and communities so that we can communicate this message to people all over the watershed.

Second Place: “Hide in Plain Sight”

Each entry was judged on composition and how well it conveyed the beauty and the importance of the Chesapeake Bay watershed and why the Alliance’s work for Chesapeake restoration is so critical. We received submissions that conveyed a broad range of important messages from the unique serenity of the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers and streams to the urgency for restoration and protection.
