Registration Opens August 22!

Registration for the 2022 Chesapeake Watershed Forum (November 4-6, 2022) at the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) covers participation in up to two-days of in-person sessions and field trips, meals*, and lodging, if applicable.

*Meal plan begins with lunch on Friday, November 4 and ends with breakfast on Sunday, November 6.

Forum Accessibility

The Alliance is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive environment for everyone at the Chesapeake Watershed Forum. As such, we are dedicated to supporting all attendees so that they can fully participate in all Forum activities. Health and Safety

The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) are committed to the safety of the staff, speakers, and all conference attendees. All staff, presenters, and attendees are expected to abide by both the Alliance’s and NCTC’s COVID-related policies. The following policies and procedures are in place to ensure all who visit the campus understand how we will be managing operations with your safety in mind. Requirements related to the wearing of masks will depend upon Jefferson county’s COVID-19 Community Level at the time of the Forum.

  1. Please read the NCTC COVID-19 information page in its entirety.  All in-person attendees must complete the NCTC attestation form and carry it with them at all times.  Please download, complete, print, and bring it to the Watershed Forum.

  2. All in-person attendees of the Chesapeake Watershed Forum must provide proof of a negative COVID test taken within three days prior to their arrival. Inspire Diagnostics will provide free mail-in PCR tests to all attendees with proof of insurance. When registering, click the Inspire link to receive your test. If you have questions related to testing, please provide those questions at the time of registration.

  3. If you develop symptoms while at the Forum, there is a nurse on site who can conduct a covid test.

All COVID policies are subject to change based on local, state, and federal regulations or CDC recommended best practices.

Yes, the Alliance offers a limited number of scholarships for the 2022 Chesapeake Watershed Forum. Scholarships cover registration, lodging and meals. You must register for the Forum first to be eligible for a scholarship. More information about scholarships will be available soon.

Registration closes Friday, September 23, 2022 5 PM EST or when we sell out, whichever comes first.


We reserve one of the four lodges at NCTC for attendees who prefer to stay up late to network and hang out in the lounge. We do our best to assign only those individuals who sign up for the Night Owl option to the relevant lodge; however, due to limited capacity on Friday night, we make no guarantees.


Sorry, no walk-ins are permitted. The National Conservation Training Center is a federally secured facility. You must be registered in order to gain entry to campus.


As a COVID-19 precautionary measure, non-Forum attendees are discouraged from being onsite at NCTC. If you need to bring with you a guest such as a family member, caregiver, or significant other in order to attend, please contact Jenny McGarvey at jmcgarvey@allianceforthebay.org or 804-977-1657.


Only certified service animals are allowed on the NCTC campus. Please indicate at registration if you will be bringing your service animal with you. Security at NCTC may request documentation of certification. If it is a pet, security will not allow you through the gate and will ask you to house the pet at a local kennel.


All cancellations made at least two weeks prior to the Forum start date receive a full refund. In most cases, no refunds – full or partial – will be granted for cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the Forum start date. Cancellations due to COVID-19-related illness will be fully refunded up to the Forum start date. Forum fees can be transferred to another person up to the Forum start date.


Checks should be written out to the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and mailed to 501 Sixth Street, Annapolis, MD 21403. Please include with check the name(s) on the registration. All checks should be delivered by 5 pm EST on October 7, 2022.


No, the Chesapeake Conservation Partnership annual meeting and the Chesapeake Watershed Forum are two distinct events. You must register for each separately.

Since 2009, the Chesapeake Conservation Partnership (CCP)–a coalition of more than fifty conservation organizations and agencies–has fostered collaborative action to conserve culturally and ecologically important landscapes to benefit people, economies, and nature throughout the seven jurisdictions of the Chesapeake Watershed. The CCP hosts its Annual Meeting (November 9 – 10, 2022 at NCTC) each fall as an opportunity to convene the full membership to engage in strategic planning advancing land conservation and public access. This year’s Annual Meeting will focus on CCP’s goal of conserving 30 percent of the watershed by 2030.
