The Alliance’s 5th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival is coming up on March 9 and Match 16, 2023!

Since 2019, the Alliance has brought communities in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, DC, together by hosting the Wild & Scenic Film Festival across the watershed. This spring, the Film Festival will provide warmth, inspire action, and raise hope during a time of growth and rebirth.

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival brings together incredible selections of films that inform, inspire, and ignite solutions and possibilities to restore the earth and human communities while creating a positive future for the next generation. Festival-goers can expect to see award-winning films about nature, community activism, adventure, conservation, water, energy and climate change, wildlife, environmental justice, agriculture, Native American, and indigenous cultures.

We recently interviewed a few Alliance team members to learn more about their favorite films! For the hiking enthusiast, Development Associate Mason Hendrick highlights one of the many films being screened, From My Window.

If fishing is more your speed, be sure to catch A Flyfishing Refugee, highlighted here by Communications Director Adam Miller.

The Film Festival is a natural extension of the Alliance’s mission to bring together communities, companies, and conservationists to improve the lands and waters of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. After pivoting to a virtual Film Festival in 2021 and 2022, we look forward to coming together in person again this year.

We hope you will join us in 2023 for the 5th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival on March 9 and March 16, 2023! Get your tickets today!
