Patti holds a degree in education from Purdue University and brings decades of experience in event planning, learned from the “school of life.” Before joining the Alliance, Patti dedicated herself to working with children. She served as the Director of a preschool for homeless children in Indianapolis, the Executive Director at Kidscommons Children’s Museum in Columbus, Indiana, and as a Tutor and Curriculum Writer for Laramie County Schools in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Additionally, she was the Director of Special Events for the Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce in Florida.
Patti has relocated several times across the United States and South Korea with her Air Force husband, Rob, their full-of-life son, Ryan, and labradoodle Cheyenne. The family enjoyed living in Annapolis for three years and currently resides in Southern Illinois at Scott Air Force Base.
Patti joined the Alliance in 2019 as the Local Government Initiative Assistant on the LGAC team. In that role, she managed logistics for Peer-2-Peer (P2P) bus tours in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. These bus tours bring elected officials from different parts of the watershed together to foster relationships and encourage local leaders to take action to protect and restore the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. In 2022, while continuing her logistics work with LGAC, Patti became the registrar for the Chesapeake Watershed Forum as part of the Capacity Building Initiative team. In this position, she aims to ensure a smooth registration process, enhance the attendee experience, and improve overall organization and efficiency at the forum.
Patti, a water sports enthusiast, loves living near and exploring bays along both the east and west coasts, as well as any waterway in between!
