Join the Alliance at the 4th Annual Treelay, a watershed-wide hands-on volunteer day, focused on restoring our local forests! This event will take place at numerous sites across the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Different groups of volunteers will plant continuously for one full day.
At this Pennsylvania site, we will be planting 100 trees and 700 live stakes!
Please dress for the weather, we are rain or shine! Volunteers need to wear long pants, clothes that can get dirty, and close-toed shoes (boots recommended). We also recommend a hat, sunscreen, and gloves if you have them. Please bring water for yourself.
Part of this site will include live staking. Please consider rainboots or waders if you’d like to help with that activity!
Volunteers should be prepared to walk over uneven ground, bend, stoop, kneel, dig, and do some minor lifting. A planting demonstration will be given at the beginning of the event. Children of all ages are welcome to attend with their guardians. Bathrooms are not available. Please follow all parking directions when arriving.
