Kristina joined the Alliance as its first Graphic Designer in 2026. She grew up in Akron, Ohio, home to the Black Keys and LeBron James. Growing up next to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park instilled in her a sense of curiosity and respect for nature, which continues to inspire her work as a visual communicator and artist.

She holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Akron and an MFA in Illustration Practice from the Maryland Institute College of Art. While earning her undergraduate degree, she worked as a seasonal Horticulturist at the Akron Zoo, where she learned more about conservation issues affecting wildlife and the environment.

As a Graphic Designer, her goal is to assist the Alliance in its communication efforts by creating visually engaging graphics and thoughtfully designed pieces. Kristina enjoys camping, long nature walks, and making all kinds of art. She is excited to join the Alliance to combine her two greatest passions: art and nature.
