Mitch joined the Alliance in 2026 as an Agriculture Projects Coordinator. Born and raised in York County, PA, he grew up in a farming community where he gained an appreciation for the connection between agriculture and the environment.
Mitch earned a BA in Political Science from West Chester University in 2018, where his capstone research examined the coordinated regional management of environmental policy within the Chesapeake Bay watershed. He later earned a MS in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University in 2024.
In addition to his role with the Alliance, Mitch serves on the Board of Directors for the Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association, where he chairs the Science and Policy Committee. In this role, he has helped lead volunteer-driven water quality monitoring initiatives focused on detecting microplastics and PFAS.
In his free time, Mitch enjoys kayaking, hiking and traveling to national parks. His passion for the outdoors extends beyond his career, and he values the opportunity to explore landscapes and waterways that inspire his commitment to conservation.
