Savanna was raised in Louisiana and spent her summers traveling the southern and midwestern states exposing her to a wide range of landscapes, outdoor sports and extreme weather events. These experiences developed a deep love for the great outdoors and commitment to protect and improve the lakes, rivers, streams, and creeks that provide the setting for some of her favorite pastimes.

After moving to DC in 2017, Savanna joined the Alliance in 2022 with a background in horticulture and now serves as the Green Infrastructure Projects Manager. She works on multiple projects in northern Maryland and the DC metro area, focused on increasing stormwater education and reducing stormwater runoff.
