Zoe grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, but always found herself seeking out nature. Looking for a change of pace and scenery, she attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where she enjoyed exploring the surrounding forests and nearby Lake Tahoe. After college, Zoe spent time in Kansas at her father’s Wagyu ranch, Morning Star Cattle. Witnessing the realities of water droughts, land management issues, and cattle health not only brought her closer to her father but also deepened her appreciation for the natural world.

While studying Information Systems and Business Analytics at UNR, Zoe began working for a local youth-focused nonprofit, which sparked an unexpected passion for the world of grants. Blending her technical background with nonprofit operations, she excels at the details, focusing on streamlining post-grant duties, building better workflows, and improving grant communications.

Zoe joined the Alliance in August 2026 as a Grants Management Specialist. In this role, she leverages her systems-thinking approach to meticulously manage the organization’s grant processes and support its overarching mission.

Having returned to Las Vegas to be closer to her family, Zoe is a maker at heart. She loves any opportunity to create, whether that involves crafting, sewing, decorating, or journaling. When she isn’t busy with a new creative project, she can usually be found going on walks and spending quality time with her loved ones.
