The Alliance is excited to welcome two new faces to our team!

Laura Cattell Noll joins our Local Government team as the Local Leadership Workgroup Coordinator for the Chesapeake Bay Program. She has more than a decade of experience managing and implementing community-based watershed restoration and stewardship projects across the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Previously, Laura worked for the Alice Ferguson Foundation, the National Aquarium and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. She has a B.S. in Environmental Science from Eastern Mennonite University and an M.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia.

Sophie Stern joins our team in Virginia as the RiverTrends Coordinator. She served as an SCA AmeriCorps member in state and national parks all over the country, teaching environmental education, building trails, and conducting field research. She eventually found herself in Pittsburgh and spent time reconnecting with plants while working at a botanical garden before reaching her current destination in Richmond where she learned to love all things water. She has spent the last two years in Richmond in the non-profit sector managing various volunteer programs to connect people to the outdoors and to protect the James River and it’s tributaries.

Join us in welcoming Laura and Sophie to the Alliance team!
