This year in addition to our fully virtual sessions, we are also offering some in-person networking events such as happy hours throughout the watershed as well as field trips.

Field Trips:

We are offering field trips in a few locations throughout the watershed with limited spaces. There was an option to pick your field trip when registering, in case you missed it and would still like to participate in the field trips listed below, please contact Lucy Heller at lheller@allianceforthebay.org.

  • Guided Hike at Bacon Ridge Natural Area: November 2, 2021 | 3:00 to 4:30 PM
  • Spirit of the James Motorized Boat Tour: November 2, 2021 | 3:00 to 4:30 PM
  • Guided Hike on the Lower Susquehanna: November 3, 2021 | 1:30 to 4:00PM

2. Attend Virtual Networking Events

Morning Yoga: 

Thursday morning from 8:15 to 8:45 AM: Start your morning off with Julie Vastine, certified yoga instructor and executive director of ALLARM at Dickinson College, for a casual virtual yoga/stretch session. No equipment is necessary, all skill levels are welcome.

Trivia Night: 

Join us Thursday from 7:00 to 8:00 pm for a friendly competition! Test your wits and ability to recall obscure trivia against your colleagues’ at our first Chesapeake Watershed Forum trivia night!

Poster Session:

Posters will be up for all three days of the virtual forum and the presenters will be available from 12:00 to 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 4th to answer any questions.

3. Setup your Whova Account

Organize your personal Forum schedule, participate in virtual sessions, and engage with your fellow Forum participants through Whova!

If you haven’t set up your account already, it’s easy: just visit our Whova event page and sign up today. Already have a Whova account? You will be able to log in with the same email and password and see all of your events in your Event List on the dashboard.

4. Check Out The Chesapeake Collective:

The Chesapeake Collective is excited to offer new and thoughtful projects at the 2021 Watershed Forum! For those who don’t know, the Collective is an alternative art-scape that encourages conference attendees to use art and creativity as a means to inspire conversation, introspection, and social justice for the betterment of our restoration work! Each year we bring, present, and offer unique opportunities for engagement at the Forum- and this year is no different! Whether you received archeologically archived trash in your Forum package or practice safe space making in your session discussions, we hope you are able to bring some introspection and creativity to each day.
