As part of the spring 2026 Project Clean Stream season, the Alliance teamed up with multiple corporate partners to help clean waterways across the watershed. Together, we removed trash and items including bikes, tires, and playsets. Read on for a closer look at each cleanup event with our partners!

 

Wills Group

Volunteers celebrate the trash they removed from the Baysocks Stadium in Bowie, MD.

On Earth Day, April 22, 17 volunteers from Wills Group helped us remove 300 pounds of trash from the Green Branch tributary that flows into the Patuxent River at the Chesapeake Baysocks Stadium in Bowie, MD. This particular location was selected because the Wills Group opened a new Dash In store across the street!

Perdue

Volunteers find a tire at Billie Jean Jackson Park.

On April 20, 29 volunteers from Perdue Farms helped us remove 600 pounds of trash from Billie Gene Jackson Park in Salisbury, Maryland.

Ahold Delhaize

On April 24, 2026, seven volunteers from Ahold Delhaize helped us remove 105 pounds of trash from Oxon Cove off the Potomac River near Alexandria VA. The team cleaned the waterline right by a popular bike path. Beautifying the area for users

 

Hershey

On May 14 2026, 12 volunteers from Hershey helped us remove 120 pounds of trash from Swatara Creek at a public boat launch between Hummelstown and Middletown.

 

M&T Bank

On May 15 2026, 17 volunteers from M&T Bank helped us remove 225 pounds of trash from an offshoot of broad creek near the waterworks trail in Annapolis.

 

Annapolis Blues

Annapolis Blues Director of Community Outreach, Devin Pugh, does double duty picking up cans and bottles.

On June 8, ten volunteers from the Annapolis Blues Football Club helped us remove 100 pounds of trash, including an old bike frame, from College Creek near Calvary United Methodist Church in Annapolis, Maryland.
