The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay is leading a project in Lancaster County, PA to address important obstacles to agricultural soil health practice adoption. Part of the program provides long-term, ongoing technical assistance to farmers as they transition to a new soil health management system. This RFP is seeking soil health technical assistance from Technical Assistance Provider businesses, as well as from qualified farmers who seek to serve as advisors. The program will run through May 2027.

The initial round of applications for this RFP are due on May 30th, 2025. The first round of applicants will be notified by June 9, 2025 as to whether they were selected. Applications will continue being accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed at the beginning of each month until all project funds are obligated. Alliance expects to contract with at least 2 and up to 4 applicants total over the duration of the project.
