The Chesapeake Monitoring Cooperative team has been working with partners across the pond in the UK for over a year now as they work to set up a similar, Catchment Monitoring Cooperative, within their network. On Tuesday, August 18th, they held a Catchment Data and Evidence Forum, where the CMC team gave a pre-recorded presentation on the volunteer engagement process and the benefits of volunteer-based monitoring programs. This presentation was part of the afternoon lightening talks discussing monitoring and citizen science efforts. After the presentations, there was a live Q&A session with the 80 participants attending the conference.
