On June 11, 2019, Governor Larry Hogan met with the Chairs of the three Chesapeake Advisory Committees to hear their annual recommendations and priorities. Ann Simonetti, Local Government Advisory Committee (LGAC), Matt Ehrhart, Citizens Advisory Committee, and Dr. Lisa Wainger (past chair), Scientific & Technical Advisory Committee (STAC), plus essential staff including Dana Aunkst (Director of the EPA Chesapeake Bay Program) and Kate Fritz (Executive Director of the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay) sat down for the discussion.

Ann recommended local governments consider aligning priorities and sharing resources, considering a summit to convene experts on engaging on local flooding concerns, adding a FEMA representative to the Management Board and increasing the facetime the senior jurisdiction staff. Ann was able to share these recommendations in support of the vision of a healthy local watershed.
