Meet The Staff: Ola Davis
Meet our Local Government Assistant
based out of the Maryland Office
Ola joins the Alliance with a genuine pleasure towards fostering its mission and values. Her love for non-profit service and boots-on-the-ground duty began during an internship with the United Nations Foundation where she focused primarily on IT and administration, while being exposed to the quality of operations the organization was doing around the world!
Ola began her work with the Alliance in September of 2018 as the organization’s Local Government Program’s Assistant. She provides administrative support to the team and to the Local Government Advisory Committee within the Chesapeake Bay Program. Ola has since grew her position to also manage the communications efforts of the Local Government team and being a proud women of color, enjoys fostering conversations around Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice within the Alliance and its partnerships.
Ola was born and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, where she volunteers in and around her community performing local neighborhood trash collection projects, to working within the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. In her spare time, Ola finds great joy in being an avid crystal collector, usually creating distinct pieces of jewelry out of her findings, trying various types of yoga and conquering new hiking trails with her little dog, and best friend, Zuri.
